Leadership Development

Don’t just do something. Sit there.

~ Jeree Pawl

To LEAD is a daunting task. Often leaders prematurely ascend to their position without all of the tools, preparation, and care that is warranted for the responsibility. On top of that, we have perpetuated the belief that they cannot show weakness, make mistakes, or struggle. And leaders beget other leaders, influencing the way they will show up for their teams and impacting agency wellness from the top down. The most skillful leaders find a way to advocate for and protect a space to get what they actually need for the job. They find a space and partner(s) with which to slow down, observe their thoughts, behaviors, and actions, and stop responding out of habit. They “don’t just do something, (they) sit there.” If you want to lead smarter, contact O₂ Consulting today!
