About Stacey
Dr. Leakey (lay · kee) grew up in rural Missouri, where everything on the table for dinner came from the garden the same day, and the family’s entire focus was tending to and growing things that flourish. Her genes and early life experiences drive a passion for growth, wellness, and generativity, and she comes from a long line of caretakers.
I’ve spent my career as an Infant & Early Childhood trauma therapist, a Systems Change Consultant, and an Endorsed® Reflective Supervisor, Consultant and Trainer. Reflective Practice has been the cornerstone of my work in each of these settings.
Relationship is the most valuable tool for learning. I have had wise mentors and teachers along my path, and pieces of each of them influence the way I work in consultation. We are each given gifts and challenges, and I was taught to steward these resources for growth. I am passionate about helping people see themselves and their needs more clearly. On a daily basis, my two teenage sons Aiden & Silas keep me honest to this goal in my own life. They provide the best (and sometimes hardest) mirror for me to see myself.
Reflective practice takes practice, and the work is never done. My own reflective consultation is an integral part of my work, and enhances the skills that I am able to bring to Reflective Consultation for others.
With awareness comes choice. we are able to say, “I allow this moment to be as it is.”
suddenly, where there was irritation, there is now a sense of peace.
and out of that comes right action.
